This position requires previous experience processing payroll through Workday. You will be responsible for processing payroll for 1,000+ employees and are expected to be in-office 4-5 days per week.

Job Description



  • Payroll Processing & Administration:
    • Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, ensuring accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly/monthly payroll.
    • Ensure that payroll is processed in compliance with company policies, local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Resolve payroll discrepancies, answer payroll-related inquiries, and provide support to employees regarding payroll issues.


  • Team Leadership & People Management:
    • Manage, mentor, and lead a team of payroll specialists and administrators.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching and professional development, and maintain a positive work environment.
    • Foster collaboration within the team and across departments to ensure smooth payroll operations.


  • System Management:
    • Utilize Workday system for payroll processing, ensuring all payroll data is accurately entered and maintained.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve system-related payroll issues.
    • Stay updated with any system upgrades, changes, or enhancements related to Workday.


  • Compliance & Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with all payroll tax regulations, including federal, state, and local tax laws.
    • Prepare and file all necessary payroll reports, tax filings, and third-party payments (e.g., benefits providers, retirement plan administrators).
    • Assist with year-end processes, including W-2 preparation, and auditing of payroll records.


  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline payroll functions and enhance efficiency.
    • Work closely with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure integration and alignment of payroll processes with company goals.

The Successful Applicant



  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (degree required).


  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years of payroll management experience, through Workday.
    • Extensive experience working with Workday payroll system.
    • Solid understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations.
    • Experience in handling multi-state payroll and managing complex payroll issues.


  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and payroll software (ADP, Workday).
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.



What's on Offer

  • Base salary ranging from $75,000- $90,000dependent on experience.
  • 1 day of remote flexibility per week.
