They are looking for a Payroll and Benefits Manager to grow their fast growing team.Job DescriptionEmployee Benefits Support:Conduct new employee orientations, providing clear explanations of benefit plans to empower employees in making informed decisions.Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving employee inquiries or complaints related to insurance benefits.Act as a liaison with insurance carriers, ensuring effective communication and maintaining strong relationships with client representatives.Process and verify monthly insurance invoices, addressing discrepancies with carriers and ensuring accuracy.Prepare reports for the Director of HR and senior management as needed, including data to support decision-making and benefit planning.Oversee COBRA enrollments, subsidies, and payment tracking, following up on delinquent payments and terminating benefits when necessary.Prepare and maintain employee census data and reports to support insurance renewals and negotiations.Open Enrollment Support:Collaborate to coordinate and host open enrollment meetings, ensuring effective communication of plan changes.Distribute carrier materials to employees, facilitate on-site presentations, and ensure employees are informed about benefits updates.Payroll Administration:Process semi-monthly payroll, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal wage and hour laws.Review and verify payroll data, ensuring the accuracy of reports and making necessary adjustments.Handle payroll actions such as wage garnishments, benefits deductions, and overtime payments, ensuring timely and accurate posting.Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations regarding payroll processes.Reporting and Compliance:Maintain up-to-date records for employee benefits and payroll, preparing reports as necessary for management and compliance purposes.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
