Job Description

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that align with company objectives, improving productivity, quality, and profitability across all production sites.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee all manufacturing activities, ensuring streamlined production processes, optimal resource allocation, and adherence to budgets.
  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Quality and Compliance: Ensure that manufacturing practices comply with regulatory requirements, including FDA, USDA, and HACCP standards, and maintain high-quality product standards.
  • Cost Control: Manage and monitor production costs, drive efficiency initiatives, and implement cost-saving measures to meet financial targets.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives, promoting best practices and utilizing data-driven approaches to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work with other departments, including R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain, to support product launches, meet customer demands, and achieve production targets.
  • Capital Projects: Oversee capital investments and projects within manufacturing facilities, from planning through implementation, ensuring alignment with operational goals.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bilingual Spanish is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S./B. A.); or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education
  • USDA Meat Experience is required
  • Proven experience in production, quality control, and regulatory compliance in food manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
