About Our Client

My client is an evergrowing manufacturer of custom automated solutions that are sold to other manufacturers throughout the midwest. They're looking for a Plant Manager to handle production, scheduling, shipping, and installs. This role is also one that will sit on the Key Management team making larger company-focused decisions.

Job Description

  • Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, and logistics.
  • Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and implement lean manufacturing practices to optimize operational efficiency and financial performance.
  • Implement strategic initiatives and continuous improvement processes to enhance plant performance and operational results.
  • Develop, mentor, and lead teams to foster a high-performance culture and identify future leaders.
  • Resolve operational, quality, and maintenance challenges to prevent delays and optimize costs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and champion a safety-first culture across the facility.
  • Drive productivity, capacity utilization, and efficiency improvements, including the management of outside processing.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong experience in lean manufacturing and process optimization.
  • Proven ability to manage financial performance, including budgeting and cost control.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to drive results through influence and collaboration.
  • Experience in managing large teams, developing leaders, and creating a high-performance culture.
  • Ability to manage complexity and change, with a demonstrated track record of operational success.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
