Job Description

The Portfolio Leasing Manager plays a vital role in the Asset Services Department, assisting with all asset management duties including leading the commercial and residential leasing and tenant lifecycle efforts. Other responsibilities include developing and maintaining strong relationships with tenants and third-party brokerage relationships. Tasks may include the preparation and review of marketing materials; commercial portfolio metric analysis, development and delivery of periodic property occupancy reports, support for the development of operating budgets, and tenant billbacks. Lastly the Portfolio Leasing Manager will support acquisition and disposition activities as well as financing underwriting.

Primary Job Duties

  • Develop strategies and manage the leasing process (including but not limited to participating in broker tours, developing LOIs and leading lease negotiations), and execute on leasing/renewals for the commercial portfolio
  • Oversee leasing of the residential portfolio, including development and execution of strategy to maximize occupancy and revenue.
  • Perform analysis supporting leasing activity and share with management
  • Manage inter-departmental coordination in support of leasing activity
  • Establish and maintain relationships with commercial tenants
  • Work with internal teams to administer programming and content delivered to tenants
  • Research market data supporting real estate strategies and transaction objectives
  • Assist with the development of annual property operating budgets
  • Prepare periodic portfolio analysis and reporting
  • Support property acquisitions by assisting with due diligence activities
  • Support property disposition activities including marketing and prospect outreach.
  • Provide leasing data and market knowledge in support of various financing efforts
  • Assist with special projects supporting the Asset Services team
  • Support the operation and implementation of various data systems within organizational work processes
  • Leverage View the Space (VTS) and other existing real estate technology platforms; consistently update, monitor and report on data submitted.
  • Forge strong relationships with brokerage partners and work to resolve challenges; communicate concerns up internal and external chains of command when expectations are not being met.
  • Assess implementation of strategic initiatives, operational and management performance, and identify opportunities for improvement and communicate those opportunities among relevant internal and external teams.
  • Maintain database of photographs from properties across the portfolio

The Successful Applicant

In return for a competitive remuneration package, the successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of experience in asset management, real estate, leasing or related fields
  • Self-starter with a passion for commercial real estate, particularly in leasing
