About Our Client

Our client is a nonprofit organization, located in Manhattan. We are seeking a Grants Specialist to manage post-award funding and has strong experience working within Excel. This is a direct hire opportunity and will be in hybrid capacity. Those applying must have post-award experience.

Description

  • Manage and coordinate post-award activities
  • Track funding, evaluate expenditures, forecast, prepare and submit reports
  • Monitor expenses for allocation of funds
  • Review and approve all purchases, payments of service & expense reimbursement
  • Assist with preparing annual federal indirect rate proposal
  • Maintain journal entries involving receivables, revenue, expenses [monthly, quarterly, annually]
  • Reconcile ledger balance to the sponsored budget and backup worksheet
  • Provide analysis and reasons for variances in financial reports
  • Forecast expenditures on routine basis
  • Work with departments to ensure compliance with all aspects of awards
  • Maintain financial information in FFATA reporting system

The Successful Applicant

  • Completed Bachelors degree in Accounting required
  • Strong accounting background and experience working within the GL
  • Advanced Excel experience
  • Familiarity generating reports and building systems
  • Experience running Power BI reports
  • Experience tracking and reporting finances to sponsors required
  • Interest in developing role and expanding experience within the organization
  • Experience tracking and reporting finances
