Job Description

A varied role, as M&A Practice Group Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Providing support to the firm's large M&A Practice Group
  • Working directly with Partners, Associates and wider stakeholders ensuring all aspects of the M&A Practice Group's operations run smoothly
  • Develop and lead the marketing, client mapping and business development plans for the practice group
  • Financial reporting - monitoring client spend, budgets, billing, forecasting
  • On-boarding new Associates and hires, ensuring they have all required resources and are able to acclimate at the firm smoothly
  • Working collaboratively with multiple departments and stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have varied relevant experience:

  • Previous work in a large law firm or professional services/ accounting or financial services organization
  • The client is open to background - the candidate could be a former Attorney or come from a Marketing/ Business Development/ Practice Management or Paralegal/ Practice Lead or Practice Management background within legal, professional or financial services
  • Strong project management skills - able to oversee and coordinate the smooth and efficient running of the large M&A practice group
  • Strong communicator, comfortable working with senior stakeholders
  • Blend of strategic mindset and approach - spotting issues before they arise, making recommendations and handling financial reporting and providing input on bonus schedules etc.
