Job Description

Preconstruction

  • Lead preconstruction strategy and proposal development.
  • Manage resources to produce scope documents, budgets, estimates, alternates, and schedules.
  • Ensure scopes-of-work are complete and aligned with design intent.
  • Conduct constructability reviews and recommend solutions.
  • Prepare cost models, value engineering, and risk plans.
  • Maintain project schedules to meet milestones.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Review designs for constructability and cost-efficiency.
  • Develop and present value engineering options.
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement with operations.



Business Development

  • Build and maintain client relationships to support repeat business.
  • Lead client presentations, proposals, and interviews.
  • Identify new opportunities through market and industry engagement.
  • Participate in trade organizations.
  • Invest time in client and trade partner relationship-building.
  • Maintain strong subcontractor and vendor relationships.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3-5 years of preconstruction experience in commercial construction (5+ preferred).
  • Bachelor's in Construction Management, Construction Science, or Engineering (Mech/Elec/Civil) preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; clear and consistent with clients and teams.
  • Detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects and solve problems under pressure.
  • Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information; leads teams toward solutions.
  • Willing to travel to job sites as needed.
  • Holds self and others to high standards of performance, quality, and ethics.
  • Promotes continuous improvement through feedback and mentorship.
  • Experience with Mission Critical, Data Centers, or Industrial projects required.
  • Skilled in estimating, design/build and design/assist delivery, scheduling, and planning.
  • Builds strong relationships across teams and stakeholders.
  • Takes initiative, acts with integrity, and works with urgency.
  • Motivates teams, sets clear direction, and drives a culture of excellence.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, direct environments.
