Job Description

    • Creating innovative pricing models and making recommendations for the most appropriate choices on panel pitches and individual matters.
    • Assessing current firm pricing and matter management capabilities and writing proposals for projects that can improve firm efficiency and output.
    • Attending client meetings as needed to discuss Pricing and Value Add offerings.
    • Presenting to partners and other fee-earners raise awareness of function and capabilities.
    • Attend Practice Group meetings as needed to present on various topics with relation to pricing and client value.
    • Assisting Senior Manager in managing team of Sr. Analysts and Analysts to ensure all work is delegated appropriately and completed to satisfactory standard.
    • Leading partner training programs when required for all Client Value and Pricing initiatives.
    • Overseeing pricing team reporting function and ensuring quality and integrity are maintained at all times.
    • Coach and mentor team members on best practices of the firm and Client Value Team.
    • Coordinate with the Legal Project Management Team on various Pricing related projects.
    • Identify opportunities and implement solutions to enhance the analytical and operational capabilities of the Pricing team.
    • Reviewing client requests for regular Management Information. This will involve working closely with BD, Finance and other Business Services functions to ensure that they provide information in a seamless and professional fashion.
    • Liaising with Firm Programming team to ensure all support tools are maintained to the highest standard and lead on coordinating any required changes.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong analytical skills, a high degree of intellectual curiosity, and the ability to engage with other team members in addressing a variety of accounting, reporting and business issues.
  • Strong problem solving skills with focus on getting to the root of issues, both technical and process related and executing appropriate solutions.
  • Very knowledgeable in computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, 3E, and other related applications.
  • Familiarity of the Firm's approval process and ability to lead calls with key-decision makers to discuss approval requirements, approach, and strategy.
  • Ability to supervise team members, and delegate projects and responsibilities to streamline overall efficiency.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is imperative.
  • Ability to combine strong business acumen with effective management skills.
  • A sound understanding of the Firm's financial cycles and accounting processes.
  • Ability to thrive within a fast-paced business environment. Organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Hands-on individual with a strong bias for action, someone who commits himself/herself fully to stretch goals, is receptive to ongoing coaching and development and who is dedicated to delivering outstanding results.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments to meet reporting deadlines. A highly motivated team player that contributes to an atmosphere in which people work together to produce outstanding results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills. A good listener with outstanding interpersonal qualities and has the ability to present his/her views in a clear and compelling manner and does not shy away from having sometimes difficult conversations regarding matter performance to reach firm goals of increasing profitability and efficiency.
