  • Interface with other engineering disciplines and cross‐functional resources to ensure robust and
  • producible product designs
  • Work with PCB layout and schematics, hands on bread board prototyping, and functional testing
  • Design system electronics including component selection, multi‐layer PCBs, FPGA's / SOC's, and
  • charging circuits
  • Develop test and qualification plans and procedures for components, sub‐assembly, and system level
  • verification / validation
  • Develop sensing circuits, perform characterization of sensing performance, and measurements of
  • sensing in response to stimulation
  • Determine requirements for electronic components and assist with initial component selection,
  • sourcing, and qualification
  • Reports to VP of New Product Development

The Successful Applicant

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering
  • 6+ years of engineering work experience (medical device field preferred)
  • Skilled in the use of design and analysis tools, such as Altium (or similar)
  • Practical understanding and application of IEC 60601 standards
  • Knowledge of RoHS and REACH requirements
  • Experience with imaging, scanning or optical based devices
  • Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with component selection of low‐power electronic
  • Ability to manage medical device design controls, develop and define requirements, & testing protocols
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering disciplines such as analog and digital circuit design and be proficient with microprocessors and firmware development
