We're seeking a Network Engineer based in Stamford, CT, to replace network equipment that has reached its end of service life. The primary goal is to replace 150+ devices with globally recognized standards for service and support. This position will serve as a principal engineering role, requiring specialized expertise in areas such as routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, automation, and cloud security.

Job Description

  • Design and engineer new solutions to replace end-of-life (EOL) services and devices.
  • Develop and execute detailed planning cycles to implement solutions without causing service outages or impacting business applications.
  • Lead the implementation and production cutover events, with required availability on weekends.
  • Serve as a principal engineering resource, bringing specialized expertise in complex routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, automation, and cloud security.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong technical expertise across various network vendor platforms.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale global enterprise end-of-life (EOL) programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies and automation practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively, quickly assess the current networking environment, and prioritize design upgrades in coordination with a seasoned team.
  • Preferred certifications in Cisco Networking, Fortinet Firewalls, Blue Coat, F5, GigaMon, InfoBlox, NetApp, Google Cloud Networking, and automation tools like Python, Terraform, and Ansible.
