Job Description

The responsibilities of the Process Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead daily tactical and long-term strategic initiatives with the process engineering team.
  • Establish analysis and maintenance schedules for all process equipment and chemistries.
  • Oversee daily startup procedures and conduct analysis.
  • Perform hands-on line qualification, operation, and troubleshooting of process and mechanical challenges.
  • Develop cleaning protocols for all equipment and chemistries.
  • Conduct R&D to support the implementation of new materials and technologies.
  • Provide support and coordination with vendors and onsite maintenance teams to address equipment downtime.
  • Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) and establish line/chemistry metrics.
  • Lead process and operational efficiency improvement projects.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Process Engineer will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in the Printed Circuit or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency in specifying equipment, conducting qualification testing, and overseeing equipment acceptance and buyoff procedures.
  • Experience in driving process improvement and implementing new product strategies.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting chemical and equipment processing interactions.
  • Ability to effectively apply methodologies such as SPC, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen.
  • Strong aptitude in problem-solving, statistics, manufacturing quality, and adherence to quality principles.
