This client is a growing international full-service CDMO within the biotechnology space looking to aggressively expand its footprint in the US. The company has a strong base of API/Small Molecule, Biologics, Clinical Research, Bioanalytical Sciences, DMPK, Cell and Gene Therapy and other capability centers across the US. This business has developed a fantastic brand in the US through exceptional service which drives repeat business. This specific role is at their Providence location, specializing in late stage large scale API development and manufacturing.

Job Description

  • Contributing to the chemistry project by performing experiments and interpreting the results
  • Maintaining clear and accurate records of experiments in laboratory notebooks in accordance with company policy
  • Working as part of the project team and collaborating with cross-functional projects groups to ensure delivery timelines and API quality
  • Demonstrating expertise in core laboratory skills required to support development and scale up of chemical processes
  • Complying with all safety and GMP guidelines
  • Manage multiple projects and execute quick turnarounds based on client needs

The Successful Applicant

  • A Ph.D or advanced degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry or related scientific field
  • 3+ years of industrial laboratory experience, including experience and knowledge of a wide range of synthetic chemistry reactions and techniques
  • Ability to effectively contribute to multi-disciplinary scientific teams
  • Late stage large scale experience required
  • Experience in cGMP environment
  • Experience with API manufacturing is preferred
  • Experience managing and working with CROs and CDMOs in previous role is preferred
  • Small molecule or API experience
  • Excellent communication skills.
