About Our Client

My client is a leading Multi Billion dollar Fortune 500 Global manufacturer that is renowned in its space. This role will be responsible for a key corporate sourcing function that will be to develop and implement category management and sourcing strategies for chemicals.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement procurement strategies for chemical products that align with business objectives and drive continuous improvement.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and agreements, and manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality products and services.
Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify cost-saving opportunities, and make recommendations to management on sourcing strategies and supply chain optimization.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements, and provide guidance and support on procurement-related matters.
Maintain accurate procurement data and reporting, and analyze spend patterns and supplier performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, and maintain a high standard of ethical conduct and integrity in all procurement activities.
Manage procurement budgets and resources, and make recommendations for cost savings and process improvements.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, supply chain management, or chemistry.
At least 6+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years of experience in chemical procurement.
Strong knowledge of chemical products and markets, with experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Experience in managing procurement budgets and resources, and making recommendations for process improvements.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management preferred.
