A leading independent energy company headquartered in the United States, operating across the refining, petrochemical, and logistics sectors. The company produces and markets high-value light products such as gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, renewable fuels, lubricants, and specialty chemicals.

Job Description

Develop and execute procurement policies and best practices that align with company standards.
Lead cost reduction and risk mitigation efforts through strategic sourcing and supplier management.
Manage procurement budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditures for assigned operations.
Oversee supplier selection, contract management, and performance tracking.
Conduct spend analysis to identify savings opportunities and drive enterprise-wide efficiencies.
Standardize parts and materials across operational sites to improve efficiency and inventory control.
Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Manage and mentor a high-performing team, overseeing recruiting, onboarding, and performance reviews.
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and finance teams.
Maintain and improve reporting tools to track procurement metrics and performance.
Support vendor audits, fleet procurement and capital project sourcing.
Direct supervision of up to 5 team members or contractors.
Up to 15% travel (domestic and international) required.
May involve work in industrial or refinery environments with varying conditions.

The Successful Applicant

8+ years of procurement experience, preferably in industrial, energy, or manufacturing sectors.
2+ years of experience in oil & gas or a related industry is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with procurement software/systems.
Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
Certification (e.g., C.P.M.) preferred.
Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
