About Our Client

I am currently partnered with the Controller at an exciting and growing PE-backed, multi-million dollar health care services organization located near St. Charles, IL. They have been growing exponentially due to acquisitions and organic growth. They are looking to bring on a strong strategic sourcing and procurement professional to help lead their overall sourcing strategy.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and agreements, and manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality products and services.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements, and provide guidance and support on procurement-related matters.
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify cost-saving opportunities, and make recommendations to management on sourcing strategies and supply chain optimization.
  • Maintain accurate procurement data and reporting, and analyze spend patterns and supplier performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, and maintain a high standard of ethical conduct and integrity in all procurement activities.
  • Manage procurement budgets and resources, and make recommendations for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Lead, develop and mentor the procurement team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their roles effectively.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, supply chain management, or finance.
  • At least 7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years of experience in a management role.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and practices, with experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Experience in managing procurement budgets and resources, and making recommendations for process improvements.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management preferred.

What's on Offer

Target compensation for the Procurement Manager is $120,000 - $150,000 + bonus commensurate with candidate experience.
