Job Description

  • Work with Sr Product Manager and Chief Innovation Officer to assess new product categories and SKU development and rationalization.
  • Conduct independent market research and work with sales and marketing teams to gather data and inform decisions.
  • Build out Project Briefs strong enough to guide the entire development of a product.
  • Brief designers around the world on the goals and objectives of each project.
  • Manage timelines and milestones of several projects in various stages, all at the same time.
  • Negotiate product cost, MOQs, manufacturing limitations and lead times to ensure projects hit time to market and margin goals.
  • Bring parties together to solve complex manufacturing and design issues.
  • Analyze financial feasibility of projects.
  • Coordinate with marketing and copywriter to build out features & benefits for web and packaging copy.
  • Oversee packaging design and print proof process.
  • Lead prototyping and off tool phases, ensuring product is well tested for functionality and quality.
  • Meet with customers to get product feedback during development and after.
  • Collaborate with operations, sales and marketing teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Conduct post-launch assessments and help the team with continuous improvement.
  • Take on special initiatives as needed.

The Successful Applicant

  • 3+ YOE of professional experience in consumer product development, preferably in home products or related
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent deck creation skills are a real plus.
  • Highly self-aware and proactive with ability to work both with minimal supervision and as part of a team environment.
  • Preference for demonstrated passion for social and environmental responsibility
  • High EQ to match your IQ, a team player, great sense of humor and just a nice person to be around.
