My client was established about 50 years ago and they are a subsidiary of a much larger company large company that has been in business for over 100 years. They develop high quality automotive products that are used worldwide.

Job Description

The Product Engineer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design test parts and create engineering drawings to support testing procedures.
  • Utilize Finite Element Analysis to assess the structural integrity and performance of the system components.
  • Generate detailed test reports outlining system evaluations and component tests, including findings and recommendations.
  • Coordinate with vendors to design and procure necessary test equipment and fixtures.
  • Conduct product evaluations in accordance with internal and external standards, ensuring thorough and accurate testing.
  • Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles as required for testing and evaluation.
  • Perform upgrades and maintenance on Test & Evaluation facilities.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment to meet IATF/TS16949 standards, including calibration and documentation.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Product Engineer will:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Proficient in engineering experimentation, data acquisition, and instrumentation techniques.
  • Hands on experience with product design in the industrial manufacturing industry
  • Proficient in CAD and FEA software such as Solidworks, Ansys, and NX, coupled with strong mechanical skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability in critical thinking and complex problem-solving.
