Job Description

Responsibilities for the Product Engineer include:

  • Lead new product development from concept to launch.
  • Design and develop molding processes, tooling, and equipment parameters.
  • Create detailed engineering drawings and BOMs using CAD software.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to source and evaluate materials.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing for smooth design-to-production transitions.
  • Utilize ERP systems for product data and scheduling.
  • Conduct design and process reviews to identify improvements.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to molding processes and materials.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Product Engineer should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of molding processes (compression, transfer, injection).
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Experience with ERP systems and project management principles.
  • Knowledge of elastomers, additives, and curing processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities for complex technical challenges.
  • Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and other engineering analysis tools is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
