Job Description

In this role you will report to the Director of Electro-Mechanical Operations and be responsible for:

  • Collaborates with Manufacturing Engineering to strategically plan and set up work centers, ensuring an optimized workflow, enhanced yield, and superior work quality.
  • Engages hands-on with diverse manufacturing equipment, focusing on electro-mechanical assembly and machining processes.
  • Maximizes shop-floor productivity by working closely with manufacturing engineers, quality control personnel, supervisors, and machine operators.
  • Actively participates in root-cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions for quality discrepancies.
  • Contributes to the training of machine operators, emphasizing adherence to company procedures and task-specific requirements.
  • Implements LEAN tools, including 5S, to drive efficiency and organization throughout the company.
  • Reviews and enhances production processes and labor standards.
  • Supports bench-level operators in elevating their performance, yield, and overall quality.
  • Utilizes and updates the ERP/Assembly planner system as needed.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have

  • 10+ years of production floor experience
  • LEAN tool implementation experience
  • Machine shop / electro-mechanical assembly knowledge
  • Laser marking experience preferred
  • Wire processing setup experience a plus
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
