Job Description

The Project Manager will:

  • Develop and maintain strong, productive trade contractor and vendor relationships
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
  • Understand architecture and engineered drawings
  • Inspect each project daily
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
  • Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
  • Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
  • Assist in ordering materials and supplies
  • Schedule deliveries
  • Communicate with the client on the job site and be prepared to answer their questions
  • Hire trade contractors and allocate responsibilities
  • Communicate quality and performance standards to trade contractors and suppliers
  • Strive for no-defect construction
  • Supervise the work of each project give guidance when needed
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed daily field reports including photographs
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
  • Schedule municipal inspections

The Successful Applicant

The Project Manager should have:

  • Minimum seven (7) years' experience as a Residential and Commercial Construction Project Manager
  • Luxury residential renovations REQUIRED
  • Commercial renovations REQUIRED
  • Organized, resourceful, self-starter
  • A passion for delivering world-class service
  • Friendly and sociable, a successful relationship builder
  • A goal setter who is accountable to the team and client
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Word, Building Connected, CMiC, FastTrack, Sage as well as other software platforms that manage our company
