About Our Client

Our client designs & manufactures portable energy storage systems that integrates with renewable energy applications for power generation and usage reducing emissions and energy.

Job Description

  • Daily management and prioritization of production processes
  • Allocate labor, materials, and resources to achieve production schedules and targets
  • Ensure on-time availability of production supplies, resources, and equipment
  • Proactively assess production performance to identify and suggest opportunities for improvement and economies of scale
  • Recommends and/or makes improvements in tools, machinery, and equipment
  • Work with the Quality Department to help establish required ISO9001 processes, procedures, and documentation
  • Ensure the necessary SOP's and quality guidelines are available to production staff and enforce adherence to them
  • Establish a culture of QMS compliance within the production team
  • Support efforts to attain internal certification goals, ISO requirements, and customer satisfaction
  • Establish and maintain OSHA safety guidelines for a safe working environment
  • Oversight of packaging, loading, and shipping of finished product
  • Utilizes systems to manage metrics, provides feedback and reports to the Leadership Team on progress of metrics
  • Ensures customer, financial, and employee objectives are measured and achieved
  • Oversight of all training requirements for production team
  • Ensure team's compliance with all processes, procedures, and SOP's
  • Deploy safety initiatives to support a Zero Incident Culture
  • Train all staff on process, procedures, and SOP's.
  • Responsible for people management including goal setting, performance management, competency development, recognition, and engagement
  • Oversight of the new hire training program to ensure new hires are onboarded effectively and safel
  • Coaching and development of production staff
  • Conduct all performance reviews for production staff and development of goals
  • Responsible for motivation and development of staff to optimize their performance and their professional growth
  • Ensures culture of high performance and continuous improvement is achieved
  • Conduct candidate interviews with Human Resources to hire qualified production staff to fill open positions

The Successful Applicant

  • 5-7 years prior manufacturing or production management experience
  • Preferred bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical engineering from an accredited institution
  • 3 years' experience supporting engineered-to-order products preferred
  • Management experience in a high accountability culture and metrics driven environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of continuous improvement tools such as 6S, Six Sigma, 8D, 5 whys, DFMEA, PFMEA and controls plans, etc.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
  • Ability to think strategically with a high level of initiative
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Go-getter, dynamic, positive force, and proactive thinker
  • Passion for efficiency
  • Highly computer literate with MS office, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to resolve conflict, develop employees and facilitate corrective action while fostering an environment that supports mission and values
  • Ability to work overtime or be available after business hours if needed
  • Previous experience with facilitating change management within an organization
