The Production Supervisor will oversee and manage the night shift production operations within the Engineering & Manufacturing department. The role focuses on ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety in the production process while meeting business goals in the Business Services industry.

Job Description

    • Ensure safe and efficient operation of production departments.
    • Maintain consistent, superior product quality.
    • Oversee scheduling and staffing to meet production goals and deadlines.
    • Communicates and coordinates daily with the Production Manager, Scheduling Team, Maintenance Manager, Engineering team, Quality Control Supervisor and Tool Room & Material supervisor.
    • Optimize utilization of personnel and resources for maximum efficiency.
    • Supports implementation and continuation of process improvements.
    • Identifies opportunities for improvement within the manufacturing area(s).
    • Enforce work standards and company policies, including safety procedures.
    • Monitor and verify production processes and documentation daily.
    • Support and develop production supervisors and team leaders.
    • Step in to run production or operate machinery when necessary.
    • Track productivity metrics, minimize downtime, and improve workflow.
    • Monitors equipment, employees, and targets to ensure exceptional quality production while minimizing downtime.
    • Promote a clean, organized, and safe work environment

The Successful Applicant

  • 5-10 years in a similar manufacturing/production environment such as Medical devices, Aerospace and Defense, and Precision Instrument Manufacturing.
  • Previous exposure to CNC machining or assembly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Understand KPI's such as Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Delivery, and provide actions to improve/recover as necessary.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles, able to support 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to handle complex problem solving.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and experience.
