This Senior Project Accountant position comes with the opportunity for progression into a management/leadership role.Job DescriptionSenior Project Accountant responsibilities:Project Financial Management:Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.Track project costs, ensuring accurate cost allocation and variance analysis.Prepare and review Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules to ensure proper revenue recognition.Billing & Compliance:Generate and submit AIA billing, progress billings, and lien waivers (if construction-related).Ensure compliance with contract terms, purchase orders, and change orders.Handle subcontractor/vendor payments and verify invoices against project budgets.Collaboration & Reporting:Work closely with project managers, finance teams, and leadership to provide financial insights.Prepare and analyze project profitability reports, job cost reports, and cash flow statements.Support month-end close processes, including reconciliations of project accounts.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
