As the industry booms, they are taking on projects at a rapid rate and are looking for a well-spoken, detail-oriented Project Accountant to support financial management duties relevant to various projects. Job Description

  • Act as the first line of communication for contract documents, project setup, change orders and other contract modifications
  • Regularly communicate with marketing, project managers, project admin team, and client to update on project status, answer questions, and resolve issues
  • Prepare invoices for projects, including all applicable backup and documentation needed
  • Research any unbilled issues to ensure billing is completed within correct billing period
  • Ensure payment of outstanding invoice
  • Set up new projects
  • Set up and maintain project budgets
  • Transfer employee billable hours and/or expenses to correct projects
  • Request Client information and Certificate of Insurance as needed
  • Prepare Revenue Forecast and assist project managers with updating the percent complete to be billed
  • Review project documents and financial reports to ensure accuracy, research variances

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or CPA
  • +2 years of experience in construction or real estate accounting
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment and get up to speed quickly on ongoing construction project
  • Highly attentive to detail with ability to explain analysis to project teams and/or other employees who have various levels of understanding of the construction project
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Timberline a plus
