About Our Client

An established renewable energy firm that develops utility-scale wind and solar projects all over the US. With a substantial pipeline of projects in both the early and delivery phase, our client are actively looking to grow their Development team. The firm has completed work in CAISO, ERCOT, SPP & PJM.

Job Description

The Project Development Manager will:

  • Help identify new greenfield renewable energy and energy storage project opportunities, including market assessments and fatal flaw identification.
  • Research parcel and other landownership data.
  • Format and integrate available data sets for use in renewable energy development
  • Meet with landowners, and community stakeholders to establish a positive, long-term relationship with host communities.
  • Manage and coordinate with internal and external resources to achieve land acquisition, permitting, interconnection/transmission, and other project development milestones, with accountability for budget and schedule.
  • Create and maintain project maps, databases, and tracking tools for assigned projects.
  • Track project level progress, risk, opportunities, and economics.
  • Perform regional market and competitive analysis as assigned.
  • Establish and maintain industry and community relationships to advance project development.
  • Facilitate the development of internal processes and business planning tools to improve the execution ability of the team.
  • Keep up-to-date knowledge of market conditions including policy, interconnection, permitting and competition.

The Successful Applicant

  • 2+ years of work experience in renewable industry project development
  • Demonstrated success in securing sites for utility-scale solar development
  • Knowledge of interconnection processes and transmission and utility markets
  • Zoning regulations and permitting knowledge
  • Develop and maintain relationships with landowners, public officials, other stakeholders, and utilities
  • Willingness to travel
