Job Description

Entry Level Project Engineer - Civil Site Development - Woodbridge,VA will:

The Entry-Level Project Engineer will participate in a structured rotational development program designed to build a strong foundation in civil construction. The rotation includes time in estimating, field operations, and project management to provide a full understanding of project lifecycle, communication workflows, and construction processes.

Key Responsibilities Include:



  • Assisting with estimating functions, including takeoffs, quantity analysis, and exposure to PlanSwift and Roctek


  • Shadowing field crews to learn site logistics, production rates, safety, and workflow


  • Supporting Project Managers and Assistant PMs with documentation, cost tracking, change orders, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination


  • Managing tasks using internal tools such as Motion, Excel, Google Suite, and Foundations job cost software


  • Participating in project meetings, client communication, and process development through the company's internal work process templates



This is a full-time, in-office role (M-F) based out of Woodbridge, VA.

The Successful Applicant

Entry Level Project Engineer - Civil Site Development - Woodbridge,VA will have:



  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field


  • Prior internship experience in construction strongly preferred


  • Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a highly collaborative environment


  • Interest in civil sitework, land development, or heavy civil construction


  • Eager to learn, detail-oriented, and motivated to build a long-term career within project management
