About Our Client

Locally owned General Contractor that has been in business for 45 years and delivers $200-$250M a year in annual revenue. Diverse project portfolio with specialization in commercial construction, both ground up and TI. The client works in all delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Progressive Design Build, GCCM, and Job Order Contracting (JOC)). Position based in Seattle.

Job Description

Commercial construction Project Engineer responsibilities include:

  • Oversee single or multiple scopes of work.
  • Assist on commercial construction projects.
  • Schedule, process, and review submittals to ensure conformance with project plans and specifications and in keeping with the schedule and sequence required by the project schedule.
  • Create and maintain drawing and submittal logs.
  • Assist in the verification and processing of change orders.
  • Maintain, track, and manage permit documentation and observation reports.

The Successful Applicant

Ideal commercial construction Project Engineer profile:

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college w/ major coursework in Construction Management, Engineering, Architectural, or a related field preferred
  • Ideally 5 years of experience in construction
  • Experience working on projects valued between $20-$50M
  • Knowledge of construction principles, techniques, and procedures
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office, project scheduling, BlueBeam, Procore, PlanGrid and CAD preferred
  • Ability to effectively present information in oral, written, and graphic form
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented
