Job Description

Responsibilities of the Project Engineer:

  • Providing technical support to construction staff
  • Review plans and documents
  • Monitor costs and project progress
  • Oversee submittals and RFIs
  • Assist Project Manager in day to day functions
  • Answer questions regarding scope of work
  • Visit job sites occasionally to check on project progress
  • Help produce project schedules
  • Track status of change orders
  • Maintain project close out documents
  • Other duties as assigned depending on Project Manager or direct supervisor

The Successful Applicant

The successful Project Engineer will have:

  • a degree in Construction Management or related degree
  • 1-3+ years of General Contracting experience
  • ability to commute within a 40 mile radius of Columbus
  • Co-op or internship experience working with a GC preferred
  • Tech savvy individua: working knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam is a plus
  • Experienced in occupied space projects a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Desire and willingness to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility
