In this position, you'll oversee multiple transmission, substation, and distribution projects from start to finish, working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to successfully deliver capital projects. You'll be responsible for driving execution across all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, coordination, budgeting, and closeout.

Job Description

  • Lead overall project delivery, including planning, contract administration, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Take full accountability for project outcomes, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction are consistently met
  • Manage projects from initiation through completion, including monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions when needed
  • Guide and support project teams, fostering accountability while mentoring junior staff
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality expectations
  • Track and report on key performance metrics, including schedule and financial performance
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage scope changes and ensure proper documentation and communication
  • Provide clear, concise reporting to both internal leadership and clients
  • Proactively identify challenges and develop practical solutions to keep projects on track

The Successful Applicant

A successful Project Manager 1 - Transmission & Distribution should have:

  • 7+ years of project management experience within utilities, construction, engineering, or related industries
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional or multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience acting as a client-facing point of contact in either a supporting or lead capacity
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 10-25%
