About Our Client

My client is a design build general contractor headquartered in St. Louis specializing in ground up and renovation construction. They have a strong emphasis in retail and commercial projects. They take pride in working with their clients from beginning to finish, which has made them reputable in the market. Partnering with their clients throughout the whole construction process has also led to a solid book of repeat clients. They are targeting a project manager with experience estimating, leading the project, and developing relationships. This role will have opportunity to not only manage projects but move into a more operational capacity as the team and company grow.

Job Description

  • Manage construction projects ranging from low $1M to upwards of $20M+
  • Partner with clients from design phase through completion
  • Perform conceptual estimates as well as hard bid
  • Solicit subcontractor bids to formulate bid packages
  • Perform quantity takeoffs
  • Lead project meetings
  • Coordinate with superintendent on putting together schedules and materials budgeting
  • Review and process necessary change orders
  • Keep latest blueprints up to date with any changes
  • Ensure safety standards are enforced on project sites

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 3 years of experience, preferably 5+ in project manager or engineer capacity at a general contractor
  • Bachelor's in applicable field (Civil Engineering preferred)
  • Capable of managing projects starting from design phase
  • Exposure to design build work in the commercial sector
  • Knowledge of local subcontractors
  • Experience with Project Management and Estimating software
  • Prior experience with estimating
