About Our Client

Our client, a well-established General Contractor based in Norwalk, CT, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Mechanical Project Manager to join their team. They are a reputable firm and a destination company working on school and other commercial projects.

Job Description

  • Manage and coordinate all mechanical aspects of public school projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules and budgets specific to mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with design teams, subcontractors, and onsite staff to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and project specifications.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance and conduct regular inspections of mechanical work.
  • Prepare project documentation, including RFI submissions, submittals, and change orders.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience managing mechanical systems in construction, preferably within public or institutional projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, local building codes, and project management principles.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
