Job Description

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead project and program management activities ensuring that projects remain within scope, budget, and schedule, working in close coordination with project team, subconsultants, and clients.
  • Management of all phases of energy, decarbonization, and sustainability consulting services projects, including scope and budget development, contract approval, execution, and close-out.
  • Coordination of multi-disciplinary teams to execute tasks in line with project objectives, client expectations, and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain and build existing client relationships through strong project execution, ensuring high quality deliverables and excellent communication.
  • Identify opportunities with current and new clients for additional project scopes, innovative solutions, or follow-on projects.
  • Successfully develop strategies, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and execute projects.
  • Oversee all aspects of project financial performance, including project budget management, internal financial reporting, invoicing, and oversight of subconsultant costs.
  • Ensure adherence to internal and client health, safety, environmental, finance and quality policies.

The Successful Applicant

CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Strong working knowledge of power grid, transmission & distribution industry (T&D) and electric utilities throughout the Midwest.
  • 3-8 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Experience with construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, technology, equipment, methods, accounting principles, and engineering principles/techniques.
  • Experience with the following project deliverable methods: general contractor, self-perform general contractor, design/build, construction management.
  • Knowledge of Sage 300, ProCore, Prolog and/or Contract Manager is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, planning, organizational and supervisory skills are required.
