Job Description

  • Lead the day-to-day management of K-12 renovation and addition projects, ensuring projects stay on schedule, budget, and scope
  • Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners, ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with project requirements
  • Develop, track, and manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables, making adjustments as needed
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and change orders, ensuring financial performance aligns with projections
  • Ensure safety compliance on site, following company policies and local regulations, and proactively addressing risks
  • Conduct regular site meetings, inspections, and progress reviews with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and school administrators to address design, construction, and operational challenges
  • Manage document control, including submittals, RFIs, and contract documentation, ensuring all records are accurate and current
  • Mentor and support assistant PMs or coordinators, fostering team development and knowledge transfer
  • Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and building trust for future work
  • Implement and maintain quality control standards, ensuring finished projects meet or exceed client expectations
  • Proactively identify and resolve project issues or conflicts, balancing multiple priorities efficiently

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing commercial, healthcare, education, or municipal construction projects
  • Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and project teams
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and K-12 facility requirements
  • Proficiency with project management and construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with clients, architects, engineers, school administrators, and internal teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively
  • Commitment to job site safety and quality standards
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff and support team development
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
