About Our Client
Michael Page is partnered with several well known construction management firms with a solid history in the Boston market with an established presence in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Life Science markets and surrounding area, with work typically $20M - $40M range but have built $100M projects. We are currently seeking several Project Manager/ Senior Project Managers - Life Science and Lab Construction with a track record in pharma or lab construction.

Responsible for the general oversight and management of the project throughout construction, final punch-list and project turnover phases, also including document close-out. Sometimes will also be required to assist in the pre-construction and design process per the requirements of a Project.
Set up and properly maintain all project files including hard files and digital files in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Create and maintain Construction Master Schedule, Two-Week look-ahead schedules, and all other schedules as required and review with Assistant Project Managers, Admin. Assistants and Superintendents to ensure project's timely completion.
Work with Development team on the procurement and maintenance of all required Permits and approvals.
Maintain up-to-date project progress information and cost data and controls. Work with Project Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and tracking of budgets for the term of the Project(s). Understand and maintain an ACR report, properly outlining change orders, potential change orders, and other anticipated costs.
Establish project objectives and performance standards in accordance with Company Quality Standards and within the requirements of the Project Plans and Specifications.
Monitor Trade and Vendor performance, schedule maintenance, quality control, safety and report on a regular basis as requested or directed by the C.O.O.
Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate, timely and complete reports to Senior Management, including monthly and quarterly reports as required.
Monitors adherence to procedures and policies regarding internal controls, safety procedures, etc. and ensures that the Project Team(s) are instructed on such and have the capacity to carry out these Policies and Procedures.
Review all Plans and Specifications to ensure proper compliance and coordination with the Sub-contractors and Vendors
The Successful Applicant
A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of all construction practices. They will have well developed communication skills, and be able to provide essential communication to customers as well as upper management.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years of project management experience, specifically in Life Science sector
- Management of projects in a Biology and/or Chemistry lab, or cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) operations
- Occupied space renovations including critical utilities shutdown
- Building systems commissioning and validation
- Laboratory equipment coordination, installation and relocation
- Laboratory operations, material flows, PPE requirements, general knowledge of acceptable conditions
- Tenure in the Boston construction market preferred
