About Our Client
My client is a commercial general contractor headquartered in St. Louis with annual revenue exceeding $750M. Starting out over 35 years ago, they have grown quickly in the last 5-10 years and have managed to make themselves a well-known name in Missouri construction. They are 100% employee-owned and have an incredible employee retention rate. They have a wide range of projects that they will build but due to market demands their big sectors currently are light industrial warehouses, data centers, production facilities, and storage as well as multifamily housing and senior living. They are aiming to bring on an experienced project manager to lead efforts in these sectors. They have 3 different offices in Missouri and this role will be sitting out of their Chesterfield location. Although they do have a national presence, travel associated with this role would be minimal.
Job Description
- Participate in early stages of construction working with architects and engineers
- Prepare contracts for subcontractors
- Ensure proper permits are obtained
- Conduct estimates and takeoffs
- Schedule and budget project trades and materials
- Maintain effective communication with owner, field labor, and internal team
- Lead project update meetings and discussions
- Conduct site visits and walkthroughs

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- At least 5 years in a project manager position with a general contractor
- Experience leading projects $20M+ is a plus
- Effective communicator
- Knowledge of estimating and project management software
- Knowledge of local vendors, materials, and estimating
