About Our Client

Our Client is a general contractor who specializes in commercial construction across the U.S. with a focus on restaurants, large and small retail, car washes, fitness clubs, and hospitality construction.

Job Description



  1. Project Planning and Scheduling:
    • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, to ensure timely completion of retail construction projects.
    • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to establish project requirements and specifications.


  2. Budget Management:
    • Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, budget tracking, and forecasting, to ensure projects are completed within budget constraints.
    • Review project expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards.


  3. Contract Management:
    • Oversee the bidding and procurement process, including the selection of vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project requirements and legal regulations.


  4. Construction Oversight:
    • Supervise and manage construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
    • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.


  5. Client Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, addressing concerns, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
    • Maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders throughout the construction process.


  6. Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards throughout the construction process.
    • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all project personnel.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of [X] years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a focus on retail projects.
  3. Proven track record of successfully managing retail construction projects with budgets ranging up to $6 million.
  4. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques relevant to retail construction.
  5. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  7. Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Procore, or Microsoft Project.
  8. Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards applicable to retail construction projects.
  9. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED AP) preferred.
