About Our Client

This owners rep is a mid-size company that focuses on commercial and cannabis projects. They have found success here in Chicago, as well as Detroit and San Diego. They are seeking a project manager to come on board as they have a very strong pipeline, and are seeking to expand into new territory in the next year. The project manager would receive a competitive salary, and great benefits; including a strong bonus structure.

Job Description

  • Work hand in hand with a Senior Project Manager to take projects from start to finish
  • Take on your own small projects off the bat
  • Manage small owner consultants and prioritize project tasks to meet deadlines Maintain knowledge of tasks, sequences, milestones and critical path events
  • Forecast delays in timing, materials or resources
  • Review invoices, pay applications and change orders to assure pricing accurate, fair and comprehensive
  • Coordinate all site photography and as-built record keeping

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree, in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field to the process of construction/development
  • 5+ years of experience in the Construction industry
  • Experience in design/build or related field
  • Works well in a team environment but is someone who can be self-sufficient when needed
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems and structures
  • Excellent communication skills with various parties including management, subcontractors, consultants, architects, vendors, and clients
