About Our Client

Our client is a top Contractor in the Chicago area and also has established offices in other states. They are looking for a motivated Project Manager to join their established Chicago branch. This is due to substantial growth and recently winning a number of projects. Project Managers will join an established team and receive excellent training and mentorship.

Job Description

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of civil engineering projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality results.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of proposals, contracts, and project documentation.
  • Maintain and cultivate relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage risk and resolve project issues proactively, ensuring smooth project delivery.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring effective communication and a collaborative work environment.
  • Track and report project progress to senior management, ensuring clear and transparent communication.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, project management methodologies, and construction processes.
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, and project teams.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
