Job Description

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of property tax returns for multiple jurisdictions.
  • Analyze property tax assessments and valuations, identifying opportunities for appeals and adjustments.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather relevant data for accurate property tax reporting.
  • Maintain and update property tax databases and tracking systems.
  • Monitor changes in property tax legislation and assess their impact on the company.
  • Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management on property tax matters and strategies.
  • Assist in the development of property tax budgets and forecasts.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in property tax, tax compliance, or a related financial role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with property tax software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of property tax laws and regulations is preferred.
