Engineers who join this organization will be part of a purpose-driven team focused on delivering high-performance materials that make a meaningful impact across industries.Job DescriptionThe Quality Engineer (Aerospace) will:Ensure compliance with AS9100, AS13100, NQA-1, NADCAP, and other relevant aerospace/nuclear quality standards.Lead and support internal, external, process, and supplier audits to maintain regulatory certifications.Review technical specifications and purchase orders to ensure product and process compliance.Support quality system maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives across operations.Conduct risk assessments (e.g., FMEA) and participate in process certification and qualification.Interface with customers and suppliers to address and resolve quality-related concerns.Assist with the review and analysis of product inspection results and nonconformance issues.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, production, sales) to drive quality improvements.Maintain quality documentation, including reports, procedures, and audit records.Act as the primary point of contact for nuclear/aerospace quality matters.Provide support during customer audits and material source inspections.Utilize knowledge of metallurgy and industry-specific standards (e.g., GE, Rolls Royce, Pratt & Whitney) when applicable.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantThe successful Quality Engineer (Aerospace) applicant will have: Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum 5 years of quality assurance or engineering experience in manufacturing, preferably metals.Strong knowledge of AS9100, NQA-1, NADCAP, and other aerospace/nuclear quality standards.Experience leading or supporting audits and compliance activities.Familiarity with FMEA, APQP, and change management processes.Demonstrated ability to interpret technical specifications and regulatory requirements.Background in working with quality systems certified to ISO 9001 or equivalent.Effective communicator with strong analytical and reporting skills.Proven ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.Experience with aerospace OEMs (e.g., GE, Rolls Royce, Pratt & Whitney) is a plus.Internal or Lead Auditor certification (AS9100/NQA-1) highly desirable.Metallurgical knowledge or experience is strongly preferred.If interested, please apply through the link below.
