Job Description

The quality engineer will be responsible for the following:

  • Providehands‑on support forcustomized manufacturing initiatives while coordinating closely with the team at the overseas production facility.
  • Enhance existing quality systems to reinforce a zero‑defect mindset across suppliers, internal teams, and support functions.
  • Partner with program management, engineering, materials, sales, and purchasing teams to achieve project goals and meet operational timelines.
  • Lead the review of PPAP documentation and ensure timely submission and approval with customers.
  • Manage customer issue resolution, including complaint analysis, root‑cause identification, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Participate in product audits and help maintain ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with international cross‑functional teams on product and process improvement efforts, working directly with engineering partners abroad who operate in English.

The Successful Applicant

A successful quality engineer will have experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is preferred but not required
  • AIAG Core Tools
  • Continuous Improvement Methodologies - 5Whys, 8D, PDCA, Gemba Walks, 5s
  • Quality management experience - either ISO 9001 or IATF 16949
  • Manufacturing processes like wire processing, molding, welding and continuity testing
  • Proficiency with MS office applications
  • Ability to read and understanding CAD drawings
  • ASQ certification is preferred but not required
  • Potential travel for 25% to manufacturing sites and/or suppliers
