Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Lead Quality Engineer are:

Lead and oversee quality engineering activities across manufacturing operations.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in compliance with ISO/TS 16949 standards.
Conduct root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
Partner with engineering and production teams to improve processes and reduce defects.
Manage supplier quality, including audits, evaluations, and corrective actions.
Prepare and present quality metrics, reports, and improvement plans to leadership.
Train and mentor team members on quality standards, tools, and best practices.
Support customer audits and ensure compliance with client-specific requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Quality Engineer will have:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
4+ years of experience in quality engineering within manufacturing (metal stamping or precision components preferred).
Strong knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 (ISO 9001 minimum)
Proficient in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA methodologies.
Proven experience leading quality initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Experience with supplier quality management and customer-facing audits.
Proficiency in quality tools and statistical analysis software
