My client is a global industrial manufacturer seeking a Quality Engineer with a strong background in the automotive industry and hands-on experience with IATF 16949 standards.In this role, the Quality Engineer will support the Director of Quality in leading the facility through the IATF 16949 certification process. Job Description

  • Develop and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Perform regular audits and inspections to identify nonconformities and drive continuous improvement
  • Partner with manufacturing teams to implement and refine quality control procedures.
  • Analyze inspection and test data to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on quality performance metrics for management review.
  • Lead initiatives focused on improving product quality, process efficiency, and overall operational excellence.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on quality systems, procedures, and best practices.
  • Monitor and stay current with evolving industry regulations, standards, and certification requirements.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Automotive background
  • Understanding of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001
  • Core tool experience - APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, etc.
  • Data analysis experience - SPC, Capability studies, Gage R&R, etc.
  • Background in metals preferred
