Job Description

The Quality Engineer will:

  • Lead and manage quality control processes across manufacturing operations
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and tests to ensure product compliance
  • Utilize automated quality systems (CMM, Vision Inspection, FAI)
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements
  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics and trends
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing issues related to quality
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation of quality activities and findings
  • Support training initiatives on quality standards and tools
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence

The Successful Applicant

The successful applicant will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required)
  • Minimum 2+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience with automated quality systems (CMM, Vision Inspection, FAI)
  • Strong understanding of root cause analysis and CAPA
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies (preferred)
  • Background in plastics manufacturing (nice-to-have)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Solid project management and documentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills across teams and levels
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and standards
  • Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
