Job Description

The Quality Engineer, Manufacturing, will:

  • Translate customer quality requirements into product design and documentation to support quotes and order implementation, collaborating with contract management, design, and manufacturing teams.
  • Review and update legacy documents and drawings to ensure compliance with ASME Code, customer specifications, and current program standards.
  • Create new documentation to meet quality program and design requirements.
  • Review and disposition Engineering Change Requests to support production schedules.
  • Provide quality support to manufacturing, resolving conflicts and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Manage Discrepant Material Reports, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing to identify risks and maintain production flow.
  • Review supplier documentation for conformance to purchase order requirements.
  • Participate in customer and third-party surveys, audits, and quality-related conferences.
  • Substitute for the Quality Administrator during absences or high workflow periods.
  • Develop strong relationships and analytical skills to interpret and implement customer technical and quality requirements effectively.
  • Support production schedules by ensuring timely, cost-effective quality program implementation.
  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of quality standards and program improvements.
  • Onsite at our Burlington, VT facility

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 0-3 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with problem-solving and quality improvement tools, including preventive and corrective actions.
  • Basic understanding of quality systems and standards, including documentation and implementation for domestic and international requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, standards, and specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with a proactive and motivated approach to tasks.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, less than 10% annually.
  • Local to Burlington, VT or open to relocating
