Quality Engineer- Manufacturing- Pittsburgh, PA

• Lead the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of a robust quality management system in a highly regulated manufacturing environment, ensuring products meet strict internal and customer requirements.
• Standardize, document, and monitor quality control procedures on the shop floor, making sure they are consistently followed and updated as processes evolve.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute internal, product, process, and supplier audits, as well as manage customer quality portals and external audit activities.
• Drive advanced product quality planning for new launches and product changes, including supporting tool and process validation and overseeing production trial runs.
• Develop and maintain risk and control documentation (such as FMEAs and control plans) throughout the product lifecycle to ensure consistent quality outcomes.
• Use statistical tools and data analysis to monitor performance, identify trends or recurring issues, and recommend process adjustments or improvements.
• Lead structured problem‑solving activities (e.g., root cause analysis and corrective actions), verify the effectiveness of solutions, and embed lessons learned into standard work.
• Partner closely with operations, engineering, commercial, and supply chain teams, as well as key suppliers, to resolve customer concerns, support special projects, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
