Job Description

Day to Day Responsibilities as the Quality Engineer Include:

  • Engages proactively in early planning stages to assess sourcing, manufacturability, and programmatic risks for ensuring product quality performance.
  • Possesses extensive expertise in quality and lean tools/techniques, including APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, RCA, PPAP, Gage R&R, VSM, SPC, Poke Yoke, Kaizen, 8D, and QMS methods.
  • Reviews practices, procedures, and processes to identify opportunities for enhancing efficiencies, effectiveness, and reducing risks to product quality.
  • Conducts technical reviews of major deliverables before customer delivery, encompassing deviations, acceptance test results, and anomaly conditions. Prepares technical reports accordingly.
  • Conducts audits to identify deficiencies, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyzes, interprets, and trends data to enhance key performance metrics. Manages quality data for accuracy and generates reports as necessary.
  • Identifies potential risks and ensures documentation of mitigation plans for proactive risk management.

The Successful Applicant

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field from an accredited institution.
  • 2+ years of quality experience, ideally in medium to large matrix organizations within high-tech, automotive, or semiconductor industries.
  • Hands-on experience in hardware and software development, design reviews, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, and product integration.
  • Proficient in creating, reviewing, and implementing policies, procedures, work instructions, and test procedures, including Design Input, Design Output, Design Verification, Product Validation (V&V), and Change Management.
  • Skilled in conducting internal, supplier, and customer integration site product and process audits.
  • Strong understanding of problem-solving methods, statistical tools, and the ability to define, analyze, and drive improvement projects.
  • Capable of working on or leading projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Possesses an open-minded, collaborative, and proactive approach.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement concepts and practices, with experience in using statistical process control tools.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, preferably ISO9001
  • Experience working in team environments, with a preference for leading and facilitating teams.
  • Familiarity with inspection tools, metrology, and control plans.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, MS Project, and Minitab.
