Job Description



The Quality Engineer, Semiconductor Manufacturing will:

  • Manage customer complaints and corrective actions, including product verification, work order issuance, failure analysis, and reporting.
  • Conduct final inspection for OEM products, prototypes, and first articles; generate formal inspection reports.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities through inspection, qualification, and documentation.
  • Perform in-process inspections across metal fabrication areas such as machining, forming, and welding.
  • Conduct instrumented testing on products and maintain measurement data libraries.
  • Prepare, revise, and validate manufacturing work instructions and internal nonconformance documentation.
  • Perform internal ISO 9001 audits and support external audits to ensure QMS compliance.
  • Monitor and report on quality metrics, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Interface with suppliers and Materials Management to resolve vendor quality issues.
  • Support quality-related regulatory and material compliance efforts (REACH, RoHS, WEEE, Conflict Minerals, etc.).
  • Contribute to building a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Onsite at our Salem, MA facility

The Successful Applicant

  • 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Engineer role at a manufacturing business, semiconductor or aerospace manufacturing preferred
  • Metal manufacturing a plus
  • Skilled in mechanical inspection and interpreting technical drawings
  • Experience with electronic test equipment and measuring instruments
  • Familiar with electromechanical assembly; sheet metal knowledge a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Professional, detail-oriented, and data-driven
  • Local to Salem, MA
