They are looking to add an experienced Quality Engineer to work with suppliers, customers and with the manufacturing and production engineering group to ensure product quality, and resolve concerns in a timely manner..Job DescriptionCoordinates QMS related activities including document control, internal auditing and continual improvementLead CAPA process supporting problem solving efforts of cross-functional teamsPerforms required inspections and PMI using XRF analyzer as neededCoordinates PPAP, FAI and quality documentation package for submission to customers.Creates Quality Assurance Records (QARs), maintains QAR Database, supports shop floor employees with selection of instruments, inspections and trains employees.Coordinates non-conformances investigation and resolution, supports process owners for timely closure and material dispositions and maintains failure databases.Facilitates in-house & external calibration, maintains calibration status of measuring devices, oversees onsite calibrations, buys new replacement gages and tools, maintains calibration documents and database, and makes recommendations for improvements.Establishes and follows record keeping guidelines. Maintains computer data files and performs data analysis as needed.Utilizes Excel to analyze and report data on several company wide objectives / KPIs including but not limited to on-time delivery, non-conformances, cost of poor quality, etc.Supports statutory and regulatory compliance efforts such as laser/x-ray registration, OSHA record keeping, Health and Safety Document Control, CA Prop 65 warning labels coordination, Conflict Mineral inquiries, and other requirements as needed.Assists operations as needed and performs other tasks as required by management.Supervisor of the Quality Technician position, guiding and monitoring their day-to-day activitiesWorks as a back-up for other quality positions and/or as other cell team leader.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
